These Terms of Use govern access to and use of this website, and any in-person dealing with Coastal Cards that arises from it. They are intended to protect Coastal Cards, its stock, and the integrity of its trading.
Coastal Cards is a business established and operating in England. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
By using this website you acknowledge and agree to these terms. By inspecting goods and completing payment you accept these terms in respect of that transaction. If you do not agree, you must not use the website and you must not proceed with a purchase, sale, or trade.
These terms are not legal advice. You should read the official text of any enactment referred to at https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ for yourself.
These terms are issued by Coastal Cards, a trading-card business established and operating in England, United Kingdom, trading around Chichester, West Sussex (we, us, our). Coastal Cards is our trading name. Our principal present line is Pokémon TCG. Other sealed TCG lines may be added when listed on this site.
We are establishing a physical premises around Chichester, West Sussex, and a dedicated business telephone line. A street address and telephone number will be stated on the About page when published. Until then, do not treat any third-party listing as our premises or telephone number.
When registration at Companies House is complete, our registered company name, company number, and registered office will be stated on this page and on the About page. Until those details are published, nothing in these terms should be read as identifying a particular registered company number or registered office.
Contact details from time to time are those published on the About page. Formal notices under these terms may be given using those contact methods.
These terms apply to every visitor to this website and to every person who enquires about, inspects, purchases, sells, or trades goods with us in person after using this website (you, your), including at any fair or market date listed on this site.
These terms, together with the particular price, goods, and payment method agreed at the point of sale, constitute the entire agreement for that transaction. No website listing, message, or list compiled on this site forms part of a contract unless and until a contract is formed in accordance with clause 6.
This website is an informational stock list only. It is not an online shop, marketplace, auction, or distance-selling platform. Nothing on this website constitutes an offer capable of acceptance, a representation that any item will remain available, or an invitation to conclude a contract online.
Listings are an invitation to treat. We may withdraw, amend, or refuse to sell any listed item at any time before a contract is formed in person. The website provides no checkout, payment facility, postage, account, or order system.
The basket stores selected items in your browser so that you may calculate a running total and communicate with us. It is not a cart, order, offer, acceptance, reservation, checkout, or inventory allocation. Buttons, links, WhatsApp, email, copy functions, shareable basket links, and similar tools are communications aids only. Their use does not create an order, a sale, a reservation, a bailment, or any other obligation. We do not receive, view, or store your basket unless and until you copy it, share it, or send it to us. Deleting the basket has no effect on our physical stock.
We do not conclude contracts at a distance through this website. Any contract of sale, purchase, or trade is formed only in person in England, at the point of sale, in accordance with clause 6. You attend that meeting by arrangement, for inspection and collection. We do not sell by unsolicited visit to your home. Goods are collected in person in England as arranged at the time of the transaction. This website does not offer postage, shipping, delivery, or fulfilment.
Accordingly, the cooling-off right for distance contracts under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 does not apply where the contract is formed in person after inspection at our usual place of business. Where a sale is concluded away from our usual business premises (for example at certain fairs or markets), any mandatory cancellation or information right that then applies under those Regulations, or under any other enactment that cannot lawfully be excluded, is not excluded by these terms.
Listings, quantities, descriptions, and prices are published from our current stock records for general information. They may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect, and may change without notice, including while you are viewing the site. Stock shown at an event may differ from the website list.
Prices are denominated in pounds sterling. A displayed price is an indicative asking figure only. It is not a standing offer and it is not a tax invoice. Factory-sealed promotional singles may be listed as price on application. No price is binding until confirmed by us at the point of sale. If we are required by law to charge VAT, we will identify it as the law requires.
Availability is not guaranteed. Stock may be sold, withdrawn, or otherwise become unavailable at any time before contract formation.
All photographs, scans, artwork, and images on this website are catalogue or reference images. They are not photographs of the particular card, slab, or sealed product in our possession.
Images are provided solely to help you identify the type of item. They are not a representation, warranty, or condition as to the appearance, centering, surface, edges, corners, print quality, contents of sealed packaging, grade, or authenticity of the specific item we hold. You must inspect the physical goods before payment, as set out in clauses 6 and 9.
We do not reserve, hold, allocate, earmark, or set aside goods for any person, whether through this website, by message, by telephone, for an event table, or otherwise.
No communication from us is a promise that an item will be available at a later time. We operate a no-hold policy because goods previously set aside have not been collected.
Until a contract is formed in accordance with clause 6, we remain free to sell the goods to any other person, and you acquire no right, title, interest, or expectation in them.
A contract for sale by us to you is formed only when all of the following have occurred in person in England: (a) we confirm that the goods are available; (b) you inspect the goods; (c) you confirm that you are satisfied with the goods as inspected; and (d) you complete payment in a form we accept under clause 7.
Until that point, either party may decline to proceed. Enquiries, lists, messages, and site activity have no contractual effect. We may refuse any proposed transaction without giving a reason.
A contract for us to buy goods from you, or to trade goods with you, is formed only when the goods, the percentage of current market price, and the consideration are mutually agreed in person and the transaction is completed.
Payment is due at the point of sale, immediately after inspection and your confirmation that you are satisfied, and before the goods are released to you.
We accept only: (a) cash in pounds sterling; (b) UK bank transfer in pounds sterling as cleared funds to the account we nominate at the point of sale; and (c) cryptocurrency limited to Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), and Tether (USDT), in the amount and at the conversion we agree at the point of sale.
We do not accept payment through this website, by card, by invoice, on account, or by any method not listed above. We may decline cryptocurrency and require payment in pounds sterling. We are not obliged to accept any particular cryptocurrency wallet, network, or transfer that we have not expressly agreed at the point of sale. We do not provide consumer credit.
We are not an FCA-authorised cryptoasset firm. We do not hold, store, safeguard, transmit, exchange, or convert cryptocurrency as a service. Bitcoin, Ether, and Tether are accepted, if at all, only as payment for goods at the point of sale.
Goods will not be released until we are satisfied that payment has been received in full. Cryptocurrency and bank transfers are at your risk until we confirm receipt. Subsequent movement in cryptocurrency value is irrelevant to the completed sale.
Title to goods we sell passes to you only upon our receipt of payment in full in accordance with clause 7.
Risk in those goods passes to you upon collection. From that moment the goods are your responsibility.
Subject to clause 12, every sale is final once a contract has been formed under clause 6. There is no cooling-off period, right of withdrawal, return, refund, credit, replacement, or exchange for change of mind or afterthought.
This policy exists to protect the integrity of our stock. Trading cards and sealed products are susceptible to substitution, tampering, and the return of counterfeit, altered, or otherwise non-genuine items. We therefore do not accept goods back after a completed sale for change of mind.
You buy the goods as inspected. The reservation of non-excludable rights in clause 12 does not create any right to return goods for change of mind. It does preserve such rights as you may have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other mandatory law where a fault or misdescription could not reasonably have been discovered on the inspection you were given.
We may, at our absolute discretion, buy and trade singles, sealed products, and collections. Any such purchase or trade, if agreed, is at 70 percent to 90 percent of current market price. The applicable percentage depends on the goods, their condition, and how quickly they sell, and shall be discussed and mutually agreed by both parties in person before the transaction is concluded. No purchase or trade is binding until that agreement is reached and the transaction is completed.
Current market price means the prevailing market value of the relevant goods as determined by Coastal Cards at the time of the transaction, by reference to such market information as we reasonably consider appropriate. Our determination of current market price is final for the purpose of that purchase or trade.
If you sell or trade goods to us, you warrant that you are the owner of those goods or are otherwise entitled to pass good title, that the goods are free from any charge or third-party claim of which we have not been informed, and that you obtained the goods lawfully. We may refuse any purchase or trade without giving a reason.
We may carry out identity and source-of-funds checks, especially when buying from the public, and we may refuse, delay, or terminate a proposed transaction.
We are not obliged to buy or trade. A statement of these percentages is not an offer. All such transactions are concluded in person only, and not through this website. The Sell to us page is information and a message aid only.
You may browse, search, and send a product link or basket to us for the purpose of an in-person enquiry. You must not scrape, harvest, crawl, copy, republish, or commercially exploit the stock list; overload or interfere with the site; attempt to circumvent security; or present the stock list as your own inventory.
You must not treat listings as a live data feed for automated trading, pricing, or resale tools. We may block access where we reasonably suspect misuse.
Information you type into notes or messages on or via this site must not include payment-card numbers or other payment credentials.
The website and its listings are provided as a convenience, without warranty as to accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on website information, including any inaccuracy in price, quantity, description, or photograph, or from stock no longer being available.
The only goods, price, and condition that matter are those inspected and agreed at the point of sale.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, or the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 where those enactments apply.
